Efficient Newmarket Series: Renewable Energy Workshop Continues to Reenergize the Area
BOSTON – The second installment of a two part workshop series on energy efficiency was a great success for both the GreenTech and Back Streets teams with several Newmarket companies and business associations in attendance. Wilson Rickerson of Solar Boston was on hand to discuss renewable energy alternatives for Newmarket, NSTAR SBS procedure and ratings, funding options for greener building operations, and ways to reduce costs in heating and lighting. As a result, five companies were audited in December for potential ways to cut business costs by updating to greener technology. The second installment comes on the heels of November’s free energy efficiency workshop which included expert advice from representatives from the electric and gas utilities companies on ways to increase efficient energy use during the cold winter months.
